Common questions
Why do I have to sign a rental agreement?
We look after these homes for their owners while making sure every guest has a five-star stay. The agreement sets out our policies clearly and confirms your group size suits the property. If a place isn't a good fit for your group, we'll help you find one that is.
Why do I need to send ID?
To confirm you meet our minimum renter age of 25 and, as far as we reasonably can, that you are who you say you are.
What's the security deposit?
At the time of your stay we place a $500 hold on your card, like most hotels do at check-in. Nothing is charged unless your party causes damage, and the hold is released once housekeeping has checked the property.
Why is there a deposit at booking, and such a strict cancellation policy?
Alaska's rental season is short, and many guests book a year ahead. During peak fishing, places are hard to find. Our deposit and cancellation policy discourage holding a property and backing out at the last minute, which causes real financial loss for our property owners. They ask guests to be sure of their plans and stick with them.
How do I check in?
Every stay has keypad entry, available 24 hours a day.
Are pets allowed?
No, none of our properties allow pets.
Can I rent a vehicle too?
Yes. We rent SUVs and pickups to our guests, with pick-up at Kenai Airport or in Soldotna. See the vehicles.
Policies
Cancellation
- More than 90 days before arrival: 75% of the total booking charges refunded.
- More than 60 days before: 50% refunded.
- More than 45 days before: 25% refunded.
- Within 45 days of arrival: no refund.
These terms may differ from what you're used to, so please read them before you book.
Renter requirements
- The primary renter must be at least 25.
- A copy of a valid government-issued photo ID.
- A credit card for a $500 security deposit hold (not charged unless there's damage).
- A signed rental agreement.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is 5:00 pm and check-out 11:00 am (Kenai Kuik Cabins: 4:00 pm and 10:00 am). Each stay's page shows its times.
House rules
- No smoking
- No pets
- Children and infants welcome
- Maximum occupancy as listed for each stay
